What do I actually get during the beta?
Full Growth-tier access ($29/mo of features), free for the ~3-month beta window. That's 2,000 AI replies a month, live product search and store-policy answers, product cards a shopper can tap to add to your store's real cart, logged-in customer order and return-status answers, custom knowledge notes, no SupportBot branding, and Slack + email handoff.
What happens after the beta ends?
You convert to a Founding-member rate of $19.99/mo, about 30% off Growth, for life. It's a standing rate, not a limited-time discount, and it holds even if Growth's list price changes later.
How many spots are there?
Roughly 25 seats, and we keep it that small on purpose. The round closes when those seats are full, not on a date. There's no live seat counter on this page, so the honest answer is: apply, and we'll tell you exactly where things stand when we reply. If the seats have gone, your application joins the waitlist for the next batch.
What's expected of me as a Founding member?
Three things, no more: install the app, actually activate it (sync your store content and get the widget live on your storefront), and give us honest feedback. No required call cadence, no contract, no minimum usage commitment.
Do I need to review the app to join or stay in the program?
No. We never ask for or incentivize a store rating as part of this program, at any point: before, during, or after. We only ever ask for honest feedback, which is a separate thing from an App Store rating.
How do I apply?
Fill in the short application form at the bottom of this page: your name, your email, and your store's .myshopify.com address. A founder reads every application personally and replies by email, usually within a day or two.
How does SupportBot learn about my store?
When you install the app, SupportBot reads your products, pages, blog posts, and store policies on its own. Edit something in Shopify and it picks up the change automatically: there's nothing to maintain by hand.
Will it make answers up?
No. SupportBot only answers from your store's actual content (or, on Growth and Pro, from a live check of your store). When it can't find a reliable answer, it says so and offers to hand the conversation to you instead of guessing.
What happens when the AI can't help?
It tells the customer honestly instead of guessing. From Starter up, you're also notified automatically (by email, or Slack on Growth and Pro) with the full conversation, so you can follow up personally.
Does it answer in my customers' language?
Yes, automatically, on every plan including Free. A shopper writes in French, German or Spanish and SupportBot answers in that language, from your store's content. There's no setting to switch on and no list to pick from: it simply follows the language each question arrives in. The greeting and the quick-reply buttons are yours to write, so those can be in your customers' language too.
